Economic Development
The 10-county Atlanta region is a designated Economic Development District (EDD). EDD designation is necessary in order to qualify for Economic Development (EDA) Administration assistance, which can ultimately be utilized to create alternative economies, fund job training and attract investment to diverse parts of the region. To this end, ARC has created a quarterly newsletter for local government economic development professionals and implemented quarterly luncheons for communities to share relevant economic development challenges, issues and opportunities.
